Editorial assistant/events assistant
The editorial assistant role involves writing for the company's two magazines (Global Cement and Global Gypsum), including compiling and editing news, laying-out articles, and researching and writing 'in-house' articles. The 'event assistant' part of the role involves researching potential venues for future events, event administration and organisation, and on-site work. The role involves worldwide travel, expenses-paid. Science graduate preferred, other candidates considered. Foreign languages an asset but not required. Very strong English language skills are required - at least native-speaker level. Experience not required - training given. Flexible working conditions - subject to change. Deadline for applications 2 February.
Salesperson
This sales role is for all of the company's media - magazines, websites, newsletters, directories, virtual seminars, conferences and exhibitions - and other media. Very substantial worldwide travel is required, expenses-paid. Prospective candidates should be based in the UK and should ideally also have strong German language skills. Experience not required - training given. Competitive starting salary, rising with experience (well-paid long-term role for the right candidate). Flexible working conditions - subject to change.

Internships
A number of paid internships are offered each summer and sometimes at other times in the year. Interns are expected to attend for at least two months. Normal job rules apply.
Typically interns will be working on research for the Global Cement Directory, Global Gypsum Directory, conferences and other projects, based in our office in Epsom, Surrey.
Languages may be an asset in one or more of the roles. However, a high standard of spoken and written English is required for all roles.
Candidates over the age of 21 will be preferred. A degree in any subject will be an advantage.
Interns will be expected to work hard - very hard!
